The Sanctuary | Lesson 1

1. Where is the way of God revealed?

Psalms 77:13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?

2. A) Who is the Way?

B) And Who does He lead us to?

John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

3. Where is the Father?

John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

4. Where is Jesus’ physical presence?

Hebrews 8:1-2 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
Acts 7:56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

5. What is the stated purpose of the Sanctuary?

Exodus 25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

6.Where is the true Sanctuary/Temple?

Hebrews 8:1-2 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

7. Does God really dwell in a Sanctuary or Tabernacle made with hands?

Acts 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

8. What else is called the Temple of God?

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

9. What is said of Jesus as a the Son of man?

Hebrews 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

10. What was Jesus called when He was born in a human Body?

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

11. Where is the spirit of Jesus now?

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
John 14:16-23, 28 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 28Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Note: So what the Sanctuary message tells us is that God wants to dwell, not in some item or thing, but rather He wants to dwell in you and me as the true “earthy” tabernacle for we are made of earth Genesis 2:7. It is true that Jesus is in the Sanctuary in Heaven as we read in Hebrews, but this does not limit His Presence to that Tabernacle. For it is written that “Jesus dwells in you except ye be reprobates.” and that the mystery of God is “Christ in you the hope of glory”.

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Now we must ask ourselves; do I have this hope?

Note: So then the Sanctuary message is not some theological study only, but a study on how Jesus dwells in us, except we be reprobates meaning rejects. Jesus wants to dwell with and in you.

Have you accepted Him as your personal Savior?

And why should we love God and accept Jesus as our personal Savior?

John 3:16 For God so LOVED YOU and ME, that He Gave His only begotten Son the that YOU AND I should not perish, but have everlasting life IN HIS PRESENCE!

This is not theology!

This is an eternal relationship with God, through Jesus Christ His Son!

BE BLESSED!
