The Revelation of Jesus Christ
The word revelation means: “That which is revealed” Websters Dictionary 1828, so then the Book called REVELATION can not only be understood by God’s people, but must be thoroughly studied and understood by them. And their understanding and interpretation must come from the WORD of GOD.
We should also compare what we read with history to see if our interpretation of prophecy is in harmony with facts.
Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
2Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
The Law = Moses = Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy
Testimony = other Prophets = The rest of the Bible writers
Because Revelation 19:10 says: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
